History
Flowtech Fluidpower plc was established in 2014. Utilising the original distribution businesses within its Flowtechnology division as a platform to build upon, the Group has undergone substantial growth through organic and acquisitive expansion to become the business it is today - a leader in the fluid power industry.
These are the key milestones since the formation of its original business Flowtechnology UK in 1983:
2018
Founded in 1974 and headquartered in Leicester, Beaumanor is predominantly a catalogue distributor of fluid power products within the UK. With an engineering facility onsite, it also specialising in the manufacture of bespoke fittings. The acquisition provides an additional logistics centre for the Group.
Established in 1979 and based in Newton Abbott, Devon, Derek Lane specialises in distribution, design, manufacture and servicing of fluid power products to OEMs and end users, predominantly in the South West of England. The acquisition strengthens our resource for process, aerospace and defence sectors.
2017
Hydraulic Group B.V is a strong addition within the Power Motion Control (PMC) division. The company, and its main trading operation, Hydroflex Hydraulics (“Hydroflex”), is a distributor of hydraulic equipment and components.
The acquisition of Hi-Power Hydraulics Limited strengthens the Group’s Power Motion Control (PMC) division. A distributor of hydraulic equipment components and systems design and build predominantly to the mobile and transport sector, the group has a number of long-term customer relationships across its Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland operations.
Orange County Limited (OCL) is an exclusive UK supplier and distributor of high-quality products for the storage and movement of fuels, liquids and gases. The acquisition of OCL will strengthen the Process division within the Group. It will operate as an independent sister company within the Flowtech Group and will continue to be managed by the current executive management team.
Founded in 1965 and headquartered in Gloucester, England, HES is a multi-faceted solutions provider to the Fluidpower sector. HES has a network of branches located in Birmingham, Durham, Gloucester and Leeds. The acquisition provides another complementary business to the Group's PMC division.
The addition of HTL will strengthen the Power Motion Control (PMC) division of the Group. Established in 1973 the group distributes hydraulic equipment and components predominantly to the mobile market segment. The acquisition provides incremental revenue to the Group, strengthens our position with key global suppliers and complements our previous acquisitions of Primary Fluid Power and Nelson Hydraulics.
2016
The acquisition of Triple Six Limited (TSL), a specialist designer and distributor of several ranges of hydraulic cylinders and semi-rotary actuators, which will form part of the Power Motion Control division.
The acquisition of Hydravalve, a UK distributor of valves and associated products which will form the Group's initial investment in its new Process division.
The acquisition of Indequip, a UK distributor of pneumatic and hydraulic components and a leading catalogue brand within the Flowtechnology division.
2015
The acquisition of Nelson Fluid Power, a UK distributor of pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, components and hose assemblies from its locations in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
The acquisition of Albroco, a well-respected supplier of hydraulic components and electro-mechanical products to the on and off highway markets.
2014
Primary Fluid Holdings Limited joined the Flowtech Group of businesses and continues to run under its own brand and structure led by its management team.
Flowtech Fluidpower plc was formed and listed on the AIM market on the London Stock Exchange.
2012
Established Chinese presence and rebranded the operations under 'Flowtechnology'.
